Urban Sketchers Edmonton Come to Highlands June 1, 11 AM to 1 PM

We are proud to introduce Urban Sketchers Edmonton to our neighborhood. Urban Sketchers Edmonton is part of the network of artists from around the world known as Urban Sketchers. Edmonton’s Historian Laureate, Marlena Wyman, is one of the co-founders of Urban Sketchers Edmonton, and since she was appointed Historian Laureate in 2018, she has been organizing outings for the group to sketch Edmonton’s heritage architecture.

The Highlands Historical Society is excited to invite artists of all skill levels and all ages to sketch with Marlena and Urban Sketchers Edmonton in the Highlands. Please bring everything you might need to sketch (pen, pencil, notepad, paper etc).

Meet us June 1st at 11 AM in front of the Owen Residence at 11227-63 Street.  (Rain out, Highlands Junior High). This event is free.

At 1PM, we will retire to the Highlands Golf Course to share sketches and good company. Drinks and food are available for purchase.
