The agenda for the AGM will include reports from the various committees, updates on publications and walking tours and a chance to get involved in a fun and curious group committed to promoting the history of the Highlands community.
Our guest speaker for the AGM is architect Barry Johns – proponent of the concept of Gentle Densification which will be of interest to those residents concerned with infill in the Highlands. Barry calls this approach BACK ALLEY ADVANTAGE KINSHIP FAMILY INTEGRATED LIVING (BAAKFIL). This includes densification through back yard suites, respecting private property and history.

*Braaksma building is kitty-corner to Virginia Park school. The entrance is at the South West corner of the building, and the room is just inside the door. For this event, there will be free parking in the lot north of Braaksma Hall.
