Barrier Free Infill Housing in Highlands

Forgive the short notice friends, but we want to extend an invitation from one of our members [Bill G] to see a new development by Red Plaid Developments. This builder specializes in barrier free homes (one or two story) with no basement is offering a ‘drop in’ outdoors at Bill’s house (11239 63 St.) Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 3pm to 7 pm on the ‘building of foundations of back yard Garden Suites with no basement.

Bill added this comment, “With the infill controversy raging in Edmonton, I thought that the Highlands Historical Society might be interested in seeing the present foundation construction stage of a house foundation with no basement. … I consider my Garden Suite as an example of little intrusion in one of the older communities in Edmonton as it only one story – and is situated on my property so as not to block any sunlight to any solar panel installations in adjacent houses”
